To the castle and the castle Bečov nad Teplou

A journey through the picturesque landscape of the Slavkov Forest to the castle and chateau of Bečov, where the reliquary of St. Maurus is hidden.

From the centre of Mariánské Lázně we will head north along cycle route 2139, past the dam and the Smraďoch nature reserve, to the village of Prameny. From Prameny we continue along route 2135 towards the village of Nová Ves. At the top of the climb we will see a rocky peak planted with three crosses – the Křížky Nature Reserve. From here on, the trail goes briskly. In Nová Ves we turn onto the 2019 cycle route and soon the valley of the Teplá river with the dominant feature of the Bečov castle and chateau will open before us. Luggage storage and bicycle racks are available directly in the castle area. For the return journey to Mariánské Lázně we can choose to take the train. Adventurous cyclists can cycle back along cycle route 2284. It winds up the Teplá River, through Tisová, Babice, Služetín, Horní Kramolín and around Podhorní vrch back to Mariánské Lázně.
