Soos, Františkovy Lázně, Cheb
Visit the Soos National Nature Reserve and combine your trip with a visit to the historic centre of Cheb and Františkovy Lázně.
The route takes you to the district town of Cheb, 35 km away, where you can admire the historical centre with the famous Spalicek, the Romanesque castle or the museum.
Only 10 km from Cheb lies the smallest of the towns in the West Bohemian triangle. Františkovy Lázně still retains the atmosphere of a spa town from the turn of the century.
To the north of Františkovy Lázně is the Soos National Nature Reserve. It is a large peat bog and moorland with many mineral springs. You can explore this unique world heritage site on a nature trail that runs along the bottom of the dry salt lake.
